Background annual Testing Of The Fire Alarm System And Associated Equipment Is Required By The Joint Commission And Nfpa 2. Scope contractor Will Perform And Provide Complete Fire Alarm Testing And Inspection Services For The White River Junction Va Medical Center Fire Alarm System. Contractor Must Be A Factory Trained Authorized Representative Of The System Manufacturer (notifier) And Must Be Able To Program The Fire Alarm System. Contractor Shall Possess All Necessary Equipment And Certifications Required To Inspect, Test And Program The Fire Alarm System. 3. Specific Tasks - Schedule contractor Shall Perform And Provide All Inspections, Testing And Permanent Records Required And Performed In Accordance With Nfpa 72 And Recommended By The Equipment Manufacturer. Work Shall Include Operation Of Sprinkler System Alarm And Supervisory Devices As Well As All Existing Equipment Connected To The Fire Alarm System. Testing And Inspections Shall Include All Interfaced Equipment Including But Not Limited To Elevators, Hvac Shutdown, And Extinguishing Systems. the Following Testing And Inspections Will Be Performed With Documentation Provided To Include Test Date(s) And A List Of The Tested Device S Ids Corresponding With And In Accordance With The Latest Nfpa 72 Standards, Reporting Standards. quarterly Test Supervisory Signal Devices (except Valve Tamper Switches). quarterly Test Fire Alarm Equipment For Notifying Off Site Responders. Note: This May Be Done Concurrently With Va Fire Drills. semi-annually Test Valve Tamper And Water-flow Devices. annually Test All Duct Detectors, Electromechanical Releasing Devices, Heat Detectors, Manual Fire Alarm Boxes, And Smoke Detectors.
