The Project Is The Replacement Of The Original Sprinkler System Throughout The “care Tower” At Gorge Road Hospital, With The Initial Scope Of Work Starting On The 4th Floor.  The Care Tower Is An Occupied Long Term Care And Rehabilitation Facility Providing 24 Hour Care To Residents And Patients. The Project Is The Replacement Of The Copper Sprinkler Piping System With A Cpvc System In The Four Story Gorge Road Hospital Extended Care Unit Tower. The Work Will Be Performed In A Functioning Care Facility, And Will Require The New Sprinkler Piping And Heads To Be Installed In Parallel Such That The Existing System Remains In Place And Functional Until The New System Is Installed And Switched Over. Work Will Be Phased Into Hoarded Areas Of A Size That Will Allow The Facility To Function While The Work Is Completed.  Existing Copper Will Be Removed After Switching To New System Through Use Of Pop Up Tent Type Hoarding. The Scope Is Limited To The Distribution Piping And Heads On Each Floor As The Existing Risers Are Steel And Do Not Require Replacement.  Careful Planning And Coordination Will Need To Take Place As Many Phases Of Hoarding Will Be Required. This Project Construction Will Start On The 4th Floor With Additional Floors Added (1st, 2nd, 3rd) As Part Of The Construction Scope Of Work. The Work On Floors 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Will Progress Until The Remainder Of The Budget Is Used Up.
