The required prior work experience for the bidder includes: * Experience in similar works, with the value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years considered. * Work performed as prime Contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years. * Experience in work of similar nature and size for each of the last five years. * Total annual volume of civil engineering construction work executed and payments received in the last five years preceding the year in which bids are invited. The value of similar works completed is considered based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the price level of the last year at the rate of 8 percent a year. The bidder is required to have satisfactorily completed, as a prime contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third of the estimated cost of work (excluding maintenance cost for five years) for which the bid is invited.
