The bidder should have experience in similar class of works completed, with the experience of similar works highlighted and a list of all works of similar nature successfully completed during the last seven years furnished. For building works, the requirements are as follows: - Up to four storey buildings: No binding - Five to ten storey buildings: Minimum one building of Five storeys or completing balance construction work of one building (including structural work) minimum up to five storeys - Eleven to fifteen storey buildings: Minimum one building of Eight storeys or completing balance construction work of one building (including structural work) minimum up to eight storeys - More than fifteen storey buildings: Minimum one building of Ten storeys or completing balance construction work of one building (including structural work) minimum up to ten storeys Each basement, stilt constructed in the building shall be considered as a storey. In case the work involves construction of two or more basements, then it is to be stipulated in the definition of similar work that the agency should have executed one similar work with a minimum of one basement under one Agreement. The bidder should have completed similar works in the last 7 years, with the following requirements: - Three similar works each costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost. - Or, two similar works each costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost. - Or, one similar work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost. For specialized works such as pile work, aluminum work, steel structure work, metallic roofing work, and water proofing work, the bidder should have completed similar works with the following requirements: - Three similar works each costing not less than 40% of the cost of the job in the tender. - Or, two similar works each costing not less than 50% of the cost of the job in the tender. - Or, one similar work costing not less than 80% of the cost of the job in the tender. The cost of work shall mean the gross value of the completed work, including the cost of material supplied by the Government/client, but excluding the cost of establishment. The bidder should have an average annual financial turnover (gross) of a minimum of 30% of the tendered cost in Civil/Electrical construction work during the last available three-year consecutive balance sheets duly audited by a Chartered Accountant. The bidder should also have a solvency of 40% of the estimated cost from a bank or 10% solvency of the estimated cost from the District Magistrate. The bidder should not have abandoned any awarded work before its completion and should not have been debarred or blacklisted for tendering in any organization. The bidder's performance for each work completed in the last Seven years and in hand should be certified by an officer not below the rank of Executive Engineer/Project Manager or equivalent. The bidding capacity of the contractor should be equal to or more than the work put to tender, calculated using the formula: Bidding Capacity = (A x N x 2.5) - B, where A is the maximum turnover in construction works executed in any one year during the last seven years, N is the number of years prescribed for completion of work, and B is the value of existing commitments and ongoing works.
