The bidder should have prior work experience of at least 7 years in construction work, with experience in similar class of works completed. The bidder should have completed similar works, with a minimum of one building satisfying the definition of similar work. The bidder should have an average annual financial turnover of at least 30% of the estimated cost, and should not have incurred any loss in more than 2 years during the last 5 years. The value of completed works shall be brought to the current costing level. The bidder should have experience of similar work, with one work of any nature costing not less than 40% of the tendered cost. The bidder should have had an average annual financial turnover of at least 30% of the tendered cost in civil/electrical construction work during the last three consecutive balance sheets. The bidding capacity of the contractor should be equal to or more than the estimated cost of the work, calculated using a formula that takes into account the maximum turnover in construction works and the number of years prescribed for completion of the work. The bidder should have a solvency of 40% of the estimated cost from a bank or 10% solvency of the estimated cost from the District Magistrate. The bidder should submit a list of all works of similar nature successfully completed during the last seven years, along with particulars of completed works and performance, duly authenticated/certified by an officer not below the rank of Executive Engineer/Project Manager or equivalent. The bidder should have a consistent history of awards against the applicant or any partner of a joint venture.
