The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having successfully completed similar works during the last 7 years. The experience can be in the form of: - One similar completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost, - Two similar completed works costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost, - Three similar completed works costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost. Additionally, the bidder should have satisfactorily completed, as a prime contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third of the estimated cost of the work for which the bid is invited. The bidder should also have experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years. In terms of financial turnover, the bidder should have achieved a minimum financial turnover of at least the amount equal to the estimated cost of works in any one year, with an indexing rate of 8 percent per year. The bidder can subcontract components of the works, but the subcontracting should not exceed 25% of the contract price. The bidder should have at least seven years of experience for works more than 300.00 Lacs and above, with specific requirements for the value of similar works completed.
