1.0 United Nations Assistance Mission For Iraq (unami) Intends To Solicit Proposal For The Catering, Cafeteria And Grocery Services With An Option For The Provision Of Automatic Vending Machine Services To Un Military Personnel (ungu), Un Civilian Personnel And Visitors, To Be Provided By A Qualified And Experienced Contractor At The Unami Facilities In The Following Geographical Areas: • Baghdad International Zone (diwan) • Baghdad International Zone (tamimi) • Baghdad International Zone (unitad) • Baghdad International Airport (biap) • Kirkuk • Erbil 2.0 The Minimum Guaranteed Monthly Feeding Strength For Ungu, Also Referred To As “minimum Guaranteed Number” (mgn) Of Patrons, Is Provided Below For Each Location: - Baghdad Iz: 100 Meals For Breakfast, 100 Meals For Lunch, 100 Meals For Dinner And 20 Midnight Meals. - Biap: 15 Meals For Breakfast, 15 Meals For Lunch, 15 Meals For Dinner And 5 Midnight Meals. - Kirkuk: 60 Meals For Breakfast, 60 Meals For Lunch, 60 Meals For Dinner And 15 Midnight Meals. - Erbil: 10 Meals For Breakfast, 10 Meals For Lunch, 10 Meals For Dinner. 2.1 Average Daily Consuption By Civilan Patrons At Each Location Is As Below - Baghdad Gz: (bf-15; Lunch- 200; Dinner- 20) - Biap: (bf- 20; Lunch- 50; Dinner- 30) - Kirkuk: (bf- 7; Lunch- 9; Dinner- 7) - Erbil: (bf- 2; Lunch- 30; Dinner- 2) 3.0 Payment For Meals And Services Provided At Above Locations Shall Be As Follows: (i). To Personnel In Uniform (refered To Also As “ungu”- United Nations Guard Unit Or “military Staff” Or “troops”), Payment Will Be Based On Daily Meal Attendance Sheet (dmas) Processed Each Month. (ii). Meals To Other Un Personnel And Visitors Shall B Paid On A Cash Basis When The Services Are Provided. 4.0 The Prospective Contractor Shall Establish, Operate And Render Separate Catering Service For Ungu Customers And Commercial Cafeteria Service For Civilian Customers At Each Location. Catering Services For Ungu Customers Shall Be Based On Self-service And Buffet Menus With Culture-orientated Meals. Cafeteria Services For Un Civilian Customers Shall Be Based On Self-service Or Served Menus With International And Local Cuisine-oriented Meals For Daily Consumption, Special Events And Private Functions, And Additionally Include, But Not Be Limited To, Groceries And Vending Machines 5.0 Unami Intends To Award The Contract For An Initial Period Of Three (3) Years, With The Option Of Extension Under The Same Terms And Conditions For Additional Two Periods Of One Year Each (1+1) Subject To Satisfactory Performance Of The Prospective Contractor, Continued Validity Of The Unami Requirement And Extension Of The Unami Mandate.. 6.0 For This Purpose, Unami Will Undertake A Competitive Bidding Exercise Shortly, Accordingly Would Issue A Tender To Those Companies Who Would Express Their Interest And Provide Initial Relevant Information As To Their Ability To Fulfill Unami’s Requirement. In Addition, The Interested Companies Should Complete A Ungm Registration At Level 1 Or Above. 7.0 Please Note On The Following: • This Eoi Is Not An Invitation To Submit A Quotation/proposal. • Unami Reserves The Right In Selecting The Invitees For The Competitive Bidding Based On Substantial And Proven Records Of Performance In The Subject Field Of Activities And Mere Expressing An Interest Would Not Automatically Warrant For Tender Document. • Unami Reserves The Right To Reject Eois Received After The Above Deadline.      The Solicitation Will Be Based On A Detailed Statement Of Requirement, Un General Conditions Of Contracts And Other Related Documents Which Will Be Provided By Unami To All Companies Who Respond To This Eoi And Qualify For The Tender. 8.0 Please Note On The Following: 8.1 This Reoi Is Not An Invitation To Submit A Bid/proposal. 8.2 Unami Reserves The Right In Selecting The Invitees For The Competitive Bidding Based On Substantial And Proven Records Of Performance In The Subject Field Of Activities. 8.3 Mere Expressing An Interest Would Not Automatically Warrant For Tender Documents. 8.4 Unami Reserves The Right To Reject Eois Received After The Above Deadline. 8.5 Interested Vendors Should Note That The Minimum Level For Registration For This Tender In Ungm Is Level 1, Companies Which Are Not Fully Registered In Ungm For Level (1) May Not Be Considered For The Upcoming Unami Tender.
