The United Nations Support Office In Somalia (unsos) Seeks Expression Of Interest (eoi) From Competent And Qualified Companies For The Provision Of Aircraft Rescue Firefighting (arff) And Camp General Fire Fighting Services To The United Nations Support Office In Somalia (unsos). The United Nations Support Office In Somalia (unsos) Is Mandated To Provide Administrative And Logistics Support To Its Clients. These Mandated Clients Include The African Union Mission In Somalia (amisom) The United Nations Office In Somalia (unsom) And Elements Of The Somalia Security Force (ssf). Three Of Many Logistics And Administrative Services Provided To Unsos’s Clients Are Air Transportation For Passengers And Cargo, Air Medical Evacuation, And Camps And Infrastructure. Unsos Seeks To Engage A Contractor To Provide Professional Firefighting Services, Which Will Take The Lead On Managing Unsos Aviation Fire Service Resources And Act As The First And Only Responder In Fighting Fires At Airfields And Sector Camp Locations Which Include Mogadishu, Baidoa, Kismayo, Beletweyne, And Jowhar. Other Potential Future Locations Include Dhusamareb, Barawe And Baledogle. The Core Requirements Of This Requirement Are: • The Provision Of Aircraft Rescue Firefighting (arff) Services To Mission Airfields At Locations Where Unsos Has Permanent Operations. • Assisting The Somalia Airport Authorities With The Provision Of Airfield Firefighting Services By Responding To All Aircraft Incidents • The Provision Of Continuous Fire Fighter Response For Unsos Established Sector Camps (including Aden Abdulle International Airport -aaia Airport As A Possible Location); • The Expert Supervision Of International Staff Of Amisom And Fgs Trained Personnel Located On Somalia Established Airfield; And • Provision Of Basic Aircraft Rescue Firefighting Training To Amisom And Associated Personnel Identified By Unsos. The Successful Contractor Will Enter Into A Three-year Contract With Unsos With An Option To Extend The Contract For An Additional Two Years Of One Year Each Under The Same Terms And Conditions.
