The Study Involves Collecting And Analysing Indicative Costs Through A Nationally Representative Quantitative Survey And Qualitative Discussions For Different Phases Of Seeking And Maintaining Political Office. The Research Aims To Outline Potential Solutions To Reduce The Costs Of Politics, Which Increasingly Obstruct Ordinary, Well-qualified Citizens From Contesting For Political Office And Contribute Significantly To The Under-representation Of Women In Politics.
