The bidder is required to have prior work experience in civil engineering construction works, specifically having completed similar works during the last five years. The details of similar works completed include the value of the contract, contract number, date of issue of work order, stipulated date of completion, actual date of completion, and up-to-date value of work done. To qualify for the award of the contract, the bidder should have satisfactorily completed at least one work of similar nature with a value of not less than 50% of the estimated value of the work tendered in the last five years preceding the year in which the tender is invited. The completion should be at least 90% as a prime contractor or duly authorized sub-contractor by the Employer. For tender amounts more than 2.5 cr, the bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of 60% of the estimated value of the work tendered in the last five years. The bidder should also provide information on their existing commitments and ongoing works to be completed during the next two years. The assessed available bid capacity is calculated as (AxNx2-B), where A is the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years. The bidder's available bid capacity should be equal to or more than the total estimated value of the works for which they have offered the bid. Additionally, the bidder should have employed qualified and experienced technical personnel, including a Project Manager with a B.E./B.Tech/ B.Sc. Engg. degree. The bidder should also provide a certificate of completion of work, including up-to-date value of work done by the Employer/Engineer-in-Charge. The values and percentages mentioned include:
- 10% of the amount of BOQ for evidence of access to financial resources
- 50% of the estimated value of the work tendered for similar works completed
- 90% completion as a prime contractor or duly authorized sub-contractor by the Employer
- 60% of the estimated value of the work tendered for minimum annual financial turnover for tender amounts more than 2.5 cr.
