Rural Works Department Tender

The bidder is required to have prior work experience as a prime contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years preceding the year in which bids are invited. To qualify for the award of the contract, each bidder should have satisfactorily completed at least one work of similar nature, with a value not less than 1/3rd of the estimated value of the work tendered, in the last five years preceding the year in which the tender is invited. The completion should be at least 90% as a prime contractor or duly authorized sub-contractor by the Employer. Additionally, the bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of 50% of the estimated value of the work tendered in the last five years, applicable for tender amounts more than 2.5 cr. The required prior work experience for technical personnel varies based on the tender amount: - For tender amounts more than 0.5 cr and up to 2.5 cr: - Project Manager: 5 years - Graduate Engineer: 2 years - For tender amounts more than 2.5 cr and up to 5 cr: - Project Manager: No specific years mentioned - Graduate Engineer: 1 year (in addition to the 1 required for amounts between 0.5 cr and 2.5 cr) - For tender amounts more than 5 cr: - Project Manager: No specific years mentioned - Graduate Engineer: 1 year (in addition to the 1 required for amounts between 2.5 cr and 5 cr) The value of similar works completed should be at least 1/3rd of the estimated value of the work tendered, and the percentage of completion should be at least 90%. The bidder should also have a minimum annual financial turnover of 50% of the estimated value of the work tendered in the last five years for tender amounts more than 2.5 cr.
