The bid capacity required in the given tender can be calculated using the formula: Assessed Available Bid capacity = (A x N x 2 - B) Where A = Maximum value of civil engineering works executed in anyone financial year during the last five financial years (updated to bid invitation year price level) N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the works for which bids are invited. B = Value (updated to the price level on the financial year in which bids are received) of existing commitments and ongoing works to be completed during the next period of completion of the work. The bidder's available bid capacity should be more than the total bid value to qualify. Additionally, the contract shall not be awarded to any bidder whose available bid capacity is less than the evaluated bid price.

The bidder is required to have experience in similar nature of work, i.e., construction of check Dam/ Weir/ Barrage across rivers, undertaken during the last five financial years. The bidder should provide information on the total number of years of experience in civil construction work and list similar works executed during the last 5 years. The value of similar work experience should be not less than 30% of the estimated value of the bid. The bidder should provide documentary evidence from the Client certifying the work has been completed to the extent of value equal to 30% of the estimated value of the bid. In terms of financial capacity, the bidder should have an annual turnover from all classes of engineering work contracts of not less than 40% of the estimated cost in any one financial year during the last 5 years. The bidder should provide the annual turnover in all classes of engineering works pertaining to works contracts undertaken for each of the last five financial years, including the total turnover for home, abroad, and total, and the value of similar works is to be mentioned in Rs. in lakh.
