The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in works of similar type and magnitude. The bidder should have executed similar nature of work worth 75% of the estimated cost, put to tender during any three financial years taken together of the last preceding five years. This applies to both Road and Bridge portions of the work. For Road portion of the work, the bidder should have executed similar nature of work worth 75% (Road Works) of the estimated cost. For Bridge portion of the work, the bidder should have executed similar nature of work worth 75% (Bridge Works) of the estimated cost. The bidder should also have a total financial turn over in respect of Civil Engineering works of an amount not less than the amount put to tender during any 3 financial years taken together of the last proceeding five financial years. Additionally, the bidder should have completed works of a similar nature, with a value of at least Rs 3.00 Crores. The bidder's past performance will also be evaluated, with consideration given to factors such as abandoning works, not properly completing previous contracts, inordinate delays, litigation history, or financial failures. The bidder should have work experience as a prime contractor in construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years from the date of receipt of this bid. The bidder needs to attach a certificate from the Engineer-in-Charge, not below the rank of Executive Engineer, for the similar nature of work executed. The bidder should have not abandoned any work of similar nature nor should their contract have been rescinded during the last five years. An affidavit to that effect is to be enclosed. The maximum updated value of Civil Engineering Works that have been executed during the last 5 years, with updated price considering the escalation factor, is to be certified by a Chartered Accountant. The value of work executed by the applicant shall be updated to current price level using an escalation factor. The bidder should indicate actual figures of costs and amounts for the work executed by them without accounting for the above-mentioned factors. The bidder's available bid capacity at the expected time of bidding should be more than the total estimated cost of the works. The available bid capacity will be calculated as: Assessed Available Bid Capacity = (A*N*2-B), where A = Maximum value of Civil Engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, B = Value of current price level of the existing commitments & ongoing works to be completed during the next years, and N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the works for which the bids are invited.
