The formula for bid capacity is: Assessed Available Bid capacity = [ ( A x N x 2) - B ] where A = Maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years. N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the works for which bids are invited (period up to 6 months to be taken as half-year and more than 6 months as one year). B = Value, at the current price level, of existing commitments and on-going works to be completed during the period of completion of the works for which bids are invited.

The bidder is required to have prior work experience as a prime contractor in construction works of a similar nature and volume. Specifically, they must have completed at least 67.78 M Length of single bridge work, with a minimum of 50% of the bridge length of the tender invited. Additionally, for pile/well foundation work, they must have completed at least 204.195 M (50% of Total Pile Length) of well sinking/piling. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed this work in the last five years. In terms of financial turnover, the bidder should have achieved a minimum financial turnover of at least Rs. 782.56 Lac (One and a half times the estimated cost of the project) in any one year in the last five years. The value and percentage of similar works completed include: - 67.78 M Length of single bridge work (minimum 50% of the bridge length of the tender invited)
- 204.195 M (50% of Total Pile Length) of well sinking/piling
- Minimum financial turnover of at least Rs. 782.56 Lac (One and a half times the estimated cost of the project) in any one year in the last five years.
