The required prior work experience for the bidder includes achieving a minimum annual financial turnover of a defined amount in any one year, over the last five years, and experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of similar works of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. The works may have been executed by the applicant as a prime contractor or as a member of a joint venture or as a nominated sub-contractor. Substantially completed works should be at least 90% completed. The value and percentage of similar works completed should be at least 40 percent of the proposed contract value. For example, if the proposed contract value is Rs. 100 Crore, the bidder should have experience in successfully completing at least one contract of similar works of at least Rs. 40 Crore within the last five years. Mentioned values and percentages include 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract and 90% completion of substantially completed works, all within the last five years.
