The bidder is required to have prior work experience, specifically in the last five years, including the current year, before the submission of the bid. The experience should be as a prime contractor or a nominated sub-contractor, where the sub-contract involved the execution of all main items of work described in the bid document. The bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed. The bidder should provide information on the quantities of work executed and the value of similar works completed. For the value of similar works completed, the bidder should provide the value of contract, date of issue of work order, stipulated period of completion, actual date of completion, and remarks explaining reasons for delay and work completed. In terms of specific values, the contract value for joint ventures is applicable only for estimated project costs of 50 Crore and above. The bidder should have access to or have available liquid assets and/or credit facilities up to 25 percent of the value of the contract/contracts applied. The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover in any one year, over the last five years, of the annual value of the contract applied for.
