The required prior work experience for the bidder is in civil engineering constructions, specifically in highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway, over the last five years. The bidder should have completed works of a similar nature with a value of at least 40 percent of the proposed contract value, which is approximately Rs. 3,32,98,909.77. The bidder should have experience as a prime contractor or as a nominated sub-contractor, provided the sub-contract involved execution of all main items of work described in the bid documents. The bidder should have substantially completed at least one contract, with substantially completed works meaning those works which are at least 90 percent completed as on the date of submission. The annual financial turnover of the bidder should be at least the annual value of the contract/contracts applied for, in any one year over the last five years. For joint ventures, the lead partner shall meet not less than 50 percent of all criteria, and the joint venture must collectively satisfy the criteria. The experience of the other joint venture partners shall be considered if it is not less than 30 percent of the qualifying criteria. The bidder should also have a minimum cash investment of up to 25% of the value of the work during implementation of the contract.
