The bidder is required to have prior work experience in civil engineering constructions. The required experience varies based on the cost of the work to be executed. For works costing more than Rs. 50 lakhs, the bidder should have two graduate Civil Engineers and three diploma Civil Engineers. For works costing more than Rs. 15 lakhs but less than Rs. 50 lakhs, the bidder should have one graduate and two diploma Civil Engineers. For works costing less than Rs. 15 lakhs but more than Rs. 5 lakhs, the bidder should have a minimum of two diploma Civil Engineers. For works costing less than Rs. 5 lakhs, the bidder should have a minimum of one diploma Civil Engineer. The bidder should have completed works of a similar nature in the last five years. Additionally, the bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. The works should be at least 90% completed. The bidder is also required to provide actual figures of costs and amount for the works executed by them. Furthermore, the bidder is required to invest a minimum cash up to 25% of the value of the work during the implementation of the contract.
