The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of the annual value of the contract/contracts applied for in any one year over the last five years. The bidder should have successfully completed or substantially completed at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed as on the date of submission, and continuing satisfactorily. The value and percentage of similar works completed should be at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract. For substantially completed works, the works should be at least 90% completed, which is calculated based on the gross value of work done up to the last date of submission being 90% or more of the original contract price. In terms of specific values, the bidder should have experience of similar works completed, with a value of up to INR 50 Cr. The bidder should have completed at least one similar work of a value of 90% or more of the original contract price, and the percentage of similar works completed should be 90% or more. The available bid capacity will be calculated based on the maximum value of work executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the price level of the year indicated. The assessed available bid capacity will be calculated as (A*N*2-B), where A is the maximum value of work executed, B is the value of existing commitments and ongoing works, and N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the works. The bidder's available bid capacity must be more than the total estimated cost of the works. The bidder must also have completed works of a similar nature, with a value of at least a certain percentage of the estimated project cost. The bidder is required to have prior work experience in civil engineering construction works, including experience in resurfacing of roads. The contract value is approximately Rs. 3,83,22,970.61. The bidder should have an "A" Class and Special Cat-2 Road & above registration/category of contractor. The bidder should provide information on the quantities of work executed as a prime contractor or as a nominated sub-contractor, including cement concrete, masonry, earthworks, and bituminous work. The bidder should provide certificates from the employers incorporating clearly the name of the work, contract value, billing amount, date of commencement of works, satisfactory performance of the contractor, and any other relevant information.
