The bidder is required to have prior work experience as a prime contractor or nominated sub-contractor in civil engineering constructions, specifically in areas such as cement concrete, masonry, earth works, and bituminous work. The experience should be in the last five years and include substantially completed works, which means those works that are at least 90% completed. The bidder should have completed works of a similar nature with a value of up to INR 50 Crore. The bidder should provide information on the quantities and values of work executed, including the name of the work, name of the employer, quantity of work performed, and value of contract. For joint ventures, the lead partner should meet not less than 50% of all criteria, and the joint venture must collectively satisfy the criteria. The experience of the other joint venture partners shall be considered if it is not less than 30% of the qualifying criteria. A specific percentage of 20% is mentioned, which is the percentage to apply the value of the work not completed, representing the Employer's additional cost for completing the works. The bidder should also have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover in any one year, over the last five years, of the annual value of the contract or contracts applied for. Additionally, the bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years.
