The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. The works may have been executed by the applicant as prime contractor or as a member of a joint venture or as a nominated sub-contractor. Substantially completed works means those works which are at least 90 percent completed as on the date of submission. In terms of value and percentage of similar works completed, the bidder should have completed a contract of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract. Additionally, substantially completed works should be at least 90 percent completed. The bidder is also required to have a minimum annual financial turnover of at least the annual value of the contract or contracts applied for, in any one year over the last five years. The bidder should have completed similar works, and should provide a list of machineries and key personnel to be deployed on the contract work. In the case of a joint venture, the lead partner should meet not less than 50 percent of all criteria, while other joint venture partners' experience shall be considered if it is not less than 30 percent of the qualifying criteria. The experience of other joint venture partners shall be considered in proportion to their financial participation in the joint venture. The bidder should submit a certificate from the employers along with the application, incorporating clearly the name of the work, contract value, billing amount, date of commencement of works, satisfactory performance of the contractor, and any other relevant information. The required prior work experience for the bidder also includes having a certain Annual Financial Turnover Amount, which is Rs. 6,75,15,500.00, and a certain value of work completed, which is Rs. 6,75,15,456.26. The bidder should also have a certain amount of liquid assets and/or availability of credit facilities, which is Rs. 1,68,78,900.00.
