The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having achieved a minimum annual financial turnover in any one year, over the last five years, of the annual value of contract/contracts applied for. The bidder should also have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. The value and percentage of similar works completed are specified as follows: the bidder should have completed at least one work of B.T. road with an updated completion cost of not less than Rs. 1.20 crores (40% of the amount put to tender) or another work involving cement concrete pavement or cement concrete work laid with a fixed form/slip form paver with an updated completion cost of not less than Rs. 0.36 crores (12% of the amount put to tender). Alternatively, the bidder should have completed at least one work of B.T. road with an updated completion cost of not less than Rs. 1.20 crores and another work involving cement concrete pavement or cement concrete work with an updated completion cost of not less than Rs. 0.36 crores. In terms of specific values and percentages, the bidder should have completed a work with a value of at least 40% of the proposed contract value. The specific amounts mentioned are Rs. 1.20 crores (40% of the amount put to tender) and Rs. 0.36 crores (12% of the amount put to tender).
