The required prior work experience for the bidder is experience in similar work, with no explicit mention of years. However, the bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90 percent completed. The value of the contract for the similar work completed should be at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract. The percentage of similar work completed should be at least 90 percent. Additionally, for joint ventures, the lead partner shall meet not less than 50 percent of all criteria, and the joint venture must collectively satisfy the criteria. The experience of the other joint venture partners shall be considered if it is not less than 30 percent of the qualifying criteria. The bidder is also required to invest a minimum cash up to 25 percent of the value of the work during implementation of the contract. A Bank Solvency Certificate of 20 percent of the Tender amount is also required. Work performed as prime contractor, or work performed in the past as a nominated sub-contractor, will also be considered, provided the sub-contract involved execution of all main items of work described in the bid documents. The bidder should submit a certificate from the employers incorporating clearly the name of the work, contract value, billing amount, date of commencement of works, satisfactory performance of the contractor, and any other relevant information.
