The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in civil engineering construction works, specifically in highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway. The bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed as on the date of submission. The experience can be acquired as a prime contractor, joint venture, or nominated sub-contractor. The value of similar works completed should be at least 40 percent of the proposed contract. Additionally, the bidder should have an annual financial turnover of at least the annual value of the contract/contracts applied for in any one year over the last five years. The bidder is also required to invest a minimum of 25% of the value of the work during the implementation of the contract.
