The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having experience as a prime contractor or nominated sub-contractor in works of a similar nature over the last five years and the current year before the submission of the bid. The bidder should have completed works with a total value of civil engineering constructions of at least Rs. 20 Lakhs in the last five years. Additionally, the bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90 percent completed. The bidder should also have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of the annual value of the contract applied for in any one year over the last five years. The available bid capacity will be calculated based on the maximum value of work executed in any one year during the last five years, and the value of existing commitments and ongoing works to be completed during the next period of completion of work. In terms of specific values and percentages, the bidder should have: - Completed works with a total value of at least Rs. 20 Lakhs in the last five years - Completed at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years - Substantially completed works (at least 90 percent completed) - Achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of the annual value of the contract applied for in any one year over the last five years - Liquid assets and/or availability of credit facilities, which is 25% of the Tender Amount.
