The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing similar works during the last 07 (seven) years. The specific requirements are: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, - One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. In the case of composite works, the tenderer must have successfully completed or substantially completed: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, - One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. For subcontractors, the required prior work experience includes successfully completing at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract in the last 5 years, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subcontracted. However, for subletting work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience is required. The overall cost including the PVC amount (if paid) of that completed work or substantially completed work, shall be considered and no separate evaluation for each component of that work shall be made to decide eligibility. The percentages of similar works completed are 30%, 40%, and 60% of the advertised value of the tender, and 35% of the value of the work to be subcontracted for subcontractors. The amount for subletting work is up to Rs 50 lakh. The bid security amount is 2% of the estimated cost of the work for works estimated to cost up to ₹ 1 crore, and ₹ 2 lakh plus ½% (half percent) of the excess of the estimated cost of work beyond ₹ 1 crore, subject to a maximum of ₹ 1 crore.
