The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in similar works, with details to be provided. The bidder is required to give details of their experience in similar works, including the type of works, contract value, and duration. For works above Rs 5.00 Crore, the bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover equal to 40% of the estimated cost of work in any one of the last three financial years. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed in the last five years: - One similar work of value not less than 80% of the estimated cost of work, - Or two similar works each of value not less than 50% of the estimated cost of work, - Or three similar works each of value not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work. The bidder should have experience as a prime contractor or as a nominated sub-contractor. The bidder should also have availability of personnel with adequate experience and liquid assets and/or availability of credit facilities of an amount not less than that indicated, usually the equivalent of the estimated cash flow for 3 months in the peak construction period. The bidder should submit an undertaking that his available bid capacity is more than the estimated value of the project/work and that he will be able to invest a minimum cash up to 25% of the contract value of work during implementation of work. The bidder needs to provide details of their particular construction experience record, implying prior work experience in similar projects. The bidder should provide evidence of access to lines of credit and availability of other financial resources facilities, certified by the bankers, which is 10% of the contract value. The required prior work experience includes having completed contracts of similar nature and complexity.
