The bidder is required to have satisfactorily completed one similar work of value not less than 80% of the estimated cost or two similar works each of value not less than 60% of the estimated cost of work or three similar works each of value not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work in the last five years. The similar works can be completed as a prime contractor or as a nominated sub-contractor. The bidder should also have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover, in all classes of civil engineering construction works only, equal to 40% of the estimated cost of work in any one of the last three years, or alternatively, equal to 40% of the estimated cost of work in any one of the last five financial years. Additionally, the bidder is required to provide a list of similar works completed during previous years, including information such as the name of the work, estimated cost, date of start, and date of completion, along with a performance certificate from the authority for whom the work has been completed. The bidder must also provide information on their prior work experience, specifically in civil engineering construction, including details on the total value of work executed and payments received in the last five years. They must also provide information on work performed as a prime contractor on works of a similar nature over the last five years, including project name, employer, description of work, contract number, value of contract, and dates of work order and completion. The values of works may be enhanced at a simple rate of 8% per annum. The bidder must provide quantities of work executed as a prime contractor in the last five years, including quantities of cement concrete, masonry, and earthworks. They must also provide information on existing commitments and ongoing works, as well as works for which bids have already been submitted. The bidder must attach certificates from the Engineer(s)-in-Charge and a Chartered Accountant to support their claims, and provide information on the qualifications and experience of their personnel, including the project manager.
