The required prior work experience for the bidder includes: - Project Manager: 3 to 5 years of experience - Site Engineer: 1 year of experience for B.E. Civil or 3 years of experience for Diploma in Civil Engineering - Plant Engineer: 1 year of experience for B.E. Mech or 5 years of experience for Diploma in Mechanical Engineering - Quantity Surveyor: 1 year of experience for B.E. Civil or 5 years of experience for Diploma in Civil Engineering - Soil & Material Engineer: 1 year of experience for B.E. Civil or 5 years of experience for Diploma in Civil Engineering The bidder should have completed works of a similar nature, with a total value of civil engineering construction work performed. The value of similar work should be at least 1/3 of the contract value, with a completion rate of not less than 90% of the contract value. The annual financial turnover amount should be at least 67% of the DNIT value in any one year. The bidder should also have executed a minimum quantity of major items of work, usually not less than 40% of the estimated quantity, in any one year. However, there is a relaxation in the qualification criteria for unemployed Graduate/Diploma Engineers, where the minimum annual financial turnover requirement is relaxed to 25% of the DNIT. The bidder must provide a certificate of similar nature of work done, completed in the last 5 years, and a certificate of executed quantities of work done in the last 5 years. The cost of completed works of previous years shall be given weightage of 10% per year based on the rupee value to bring them to the present price level.
