Call for proposals for 4p type partnership (capital shared between private promoters and producers supported by prodefi) The overall objective of PRODEFI is to improve the income and food and nutritional security of poor rural populations (in particular women and young people) from its intervention areas. This involves including these populations in remunerative and resilient sectors through production support and the promotion of pro-poor public-private-producer partnerships. Five sectors are concerned: Market gardening, Poultry farming, Goat%s milk, Non-timber forest products (NTFPs) and Inland fisheries. In this context, the Project plans to provide support for the development and promotion of partnerships which will focus on the establishment of formal contracts, based on the principle of sharing risks and benefits, between producers on the one hand, and on the other hand, the other actors in the sectors, either in or downstream of production.To do this, the Project is launching, for the whole of 2021, a call for proposals addressed to private promoters working in said sectors, with a view to presenting requests for a 4P type partnership (capital shared between a private promoter and of the target producers of PRODEFI).For this year 2021, the Project will only finance projects eligible for the ASAP line (IFAD Adaptation Program for Smallholder Agriculture), i.e. projects relating to: (i) Saving resources in water and / or its concerted management; (ii) the promotion of clean energy sources less sensitive to climatic constraints; (iii) sustainable and qualitative management of fodder and NTFPs; (iv) taking into account climatic constraints in the choice of infrastructure; or (v) the fight against erosion for productive purposes.
