Tenders are invited for Design of haritujoki~s catchment area As part of the international Leader project Holistic Approach in Lake Restoration II (HolaLake II) coordinated by the Päijät-Häme Water Foundation (http://www.vesijarvi.fi), a plan is being drawn up for the comprehensive catchment rehabilitation of the Haritunjoki watershed in Vesijärvi. The catchment area of the Haritunjoki River flowing into Häsola's Vähäselkä is the largest sub-catchment area of Lake Vesijärvi (57.47 km2, of which the arable area is about 15.11 km2). This project comprehensively maps the problems and opportunities of agricultural water management in the Haritunjoki catchment area and activates landowners. The aim is to find ways to prevent the pressure of diffuse agricultural pollution in a way that is of interest to farmers. The project aims to promote the design and implementation of measures, taking into account water management, water quality and biodiversity.
