It can look back on a history spanning over 775 years and is therefore one of the oldest publicly charitable foundations in the city of Frankfurt am Main. The undeveloped plot of land "auf der Sandkaute" (local district 16, Bergen-Enkheim district, plot 43, plot number 1017) is owned by the St. Kathrinen- und Weißfrauenstift. The developer intends to build a new residential complex for senior citizens and two multi-family residential buildings with an underground car park, which will be made available for rent to employees of the foundation and staff from the care sector in particular. A heat pump is to be installed in conjunction with a geothermal probe field. The buildings in question will also be subject to building certification in accordance with the criteria of the German Sustainable Building Council - DGNB.
