The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in similar works, such as drilling of deep bore wells for irrigation/Rural water supply in Government programmes. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed similar work with a value of not less than Rs. 265.00 Lakhs, which is 40% of the proposed contract value. The bidder should have completed at least one similar work with a value of not less than 80% of the original contract value. A weightage of 10% per year is given to the cost of satisfactorily completed works of previous years to bring them to the current price level. The experience should be within the last five years. Additionally, the bidder should have executed a minimum quantity of similar major items of work, which can be calculated as 0.4 x (estimated quantity of work) x 12 months / period of completion. For example, if the estimated quantity of work is 500 nos. bore wells and the period of completion is 3 years, the minimum quantity required would be 800 nos. bore wells.
