The On-site Measurement Suite Presently Includes An Array Of Meteorological Instrumentation, Including Soil Probes To Measure Soil Moisture And Temperature At Various Locations And Soil Depths Down To 1 M. Observations From These Probes Are Being Used To Assess Drought Stress, Water Budgets, Monitor And Predict Weather And Climate, And Determine The Soil Climatology. Accurate Observations Of Both Soil Moisture And Temperature Are Needed. These Supplies Are Needed To Ensure Homogeneity And Continuity Of The Us Climate Record.
