The Cbgc Has The First Generation Of 10x Genomics Chromium Controllers That Were Acquired In 2018. Given That The Number Of Single-cell Projects At The National Institute On Aging-intramural Research Program (nia-irp) Has Grown Over The Years, It Is Now Necessary To Upgrade The 10x Genomics Chromium Controllers To The Newest And Higher Throughput Chromium X. Chromium X Offers High Flexibility Allowing Not Only To Run High-throughput Single-cell Assays, But Also The Completion Of Ongoing Projects With Previously Purchased Low-throughput Kits. Many Irp Labs Including Laboratory Of Genetics & Genomics (lgg), Laboratory Of Molecular Biology & Immunology (lmbi), Translational Gerontology Branch (tgb), Laboratory Of Cardiovascular Science (lcs), Laboratory Of Clinical Investigation (lci) And Others Will Benefit If This Instrument Is Added To The Cbgc Facility. Cbgc Has Other Instruments And Expertise Required For The 10x Genomics Chromium X To Work Seamlessly Such As The Illumina Novaseq 6000 Sequencer As Well As Trained Staff For Running Both The Wet-lab Protocols And Data Analysis Pipelines.
