The required prior work experience for the bidder includes achieving an average annual financial turnover equal to a specified amount, certified by a Chartered Accountant, over the last three years. Additionally, the bidder must have satisfactorily completed similar works as a prime contractor or nominated/approved subcontractor during the last seven years. The similar works should be in operation and maintenance/construction of 2/4/6 lane highways for O&M contracts. The bidder should have completed similar works with the following values and percentages:
- Three similar completed works costing not less than 40% each of the estimated cost.
- Two similar completed works costing not less than 50% each of the estimated cost.
- One similar completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost. The bidder should have also completed at least 90% of the contract value for similar works. An escalation factor is applied to bring the value of completed works to the current financial year level, with specific multiplying factors for different years.
