The required prior work experience for the bidder includes satisfactorily completing similar works during the last seven years. The similar works can be in the form of: - Three similar completed works costing not less than 40% each of the estimated cost. - Two similar completed works costing not less than 50% each of the estimated cost. - One similar completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost. These similar works constitute experience in operation and maintenance/construction of 4/6 lane highway for O&M contracts. The bidder should have completed at least 90% of the contract value as a prime contractor or as a nominated/approved subcontractor. The bidder's prior work experience is also evaluated based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last three years. The bidder's average annual financial turnover in all classes of civil engineering construction work should be equal to the amount indicated in the NIT during the last three years. The total value of civil engineering construction work performed in the last five years should be provided, along with a certificate from a Chartered Accountant. Additionally, key technical personnel are required to have experience in specific areas such as highway construction/maintenance works, including: * Project Manager: 5 years as project manager on NH/SH bridge construction/maintenance works * Material-cum Quality Control Engineer: 5 years on highway construction/maintenance work * Site Engineer: 5 years on highway construction/maintenance work An escalation factor is used to bring the value of such completed works to the level of the current financial year, with factors ranging from 1.1 to 1.95 depending on the year of completion.
