Request for expression of interest: Consultant for Cbsp Legal Advisor. MMERE is seeking a Legal Advisor to work with CBSP under the MMERE and TRHDP. The Community Benefit Sharing Legal Advisor (CBSLA) shall provide advice on the legality of the proposed provisions of policy documents and guidelines intended for the implementation of the community benefit sharing fund component and the establishment of the community benefit sharing fund entity and its governance. The candidate for Legal Advisor should have the following qualifications: A lawyer by profession and licensed to practice in Solomon Islands; In-depth knowledge of the government structure, laws, and legal systems of Solomon Islands. Strong familiarity with the situation in the communities affected by TRHDP, including customary land rights and ownership issues, formal and traditional decision-making process, notable village reactions to previous and present development activities, and overall sentiment about the hydropower project etc., or similar experiences.; At least 3 years of working experience in public sector and/or donor-financed projects.
