The required prior work experience for the bidder includes satisfactorily completing similar works in the last 7 years. The specific requirements are: - Three similar completed works each costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost, - Two similar completed works each costing not less than 60% of the estimated cost, - One similar completed work each costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost. The bidder should have experience in the specific type of work they are bidding for and should have completed works with a gross value, including the cost of materials supplied by the government/client. The completion cost of the project should be mentioned, but no specific percentage or amount of similar works completed is mentioned as a requirement, other than the percentages mentioned above. The bidder should also provide a list of similar works completed, with details such as project name, name of the employer, description of work, contract number, value of contract, date of issue of work order, stipulated period of completion, and actual date of completion. Additionally, the bidder should have a minimum turnover in construction works and should have completed similar nature of works during the last seven years. The bidding capacity of the bidder is required to be equal to or more than the estimated cost of the work put to tender. The formula for calculating bidding capacity is: Bidding Capacity (Rs.) = {[AxNx2]-B}, where A is the maximum turnover, N is the number of years prescribed for completion of work. The maximum turnover is considered based on the completed as well as works in progress. The bidder should also provide an undertaking for the association of a specialized agency for E&M works. The bidder should quote rates in decimal coinage and provide a detailed calculation sheet for working out the value of B. The bidder should demonstrate access to liquid assets and/or credit facilities of not less than 10% of the value of the contract/contracts applied for and should have an average annual turnover worth minimum 40% of the estimated cost during the last five consecutive years. The bidder should not have incurred any loss in more than two years during the last five consecutive years. The bidder should also submit an undertaking to invest 25% of contract value of work during implementation of work.
