The required prior work experience for the bidder includes satisfactorily completing similar works in the last 7 years. The specific requirements are: - Three similar completed works each costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost - Two similar completed works each costing not less than 60% of the estimated cost - One similar completed work each costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost The experience required varies based on the nature of the work. The bidder should have average annual turnover worth minimum 40% of the estimated cost during the last five consecutive years. The bidder should also have a total value of civil engineering construction work performed in the last five years. The bidding capacity of the contractor should be equal to or more than the estimated cost of the work put to tender, calculated using the formula: Bidding Capacity = {[AxNxM]-B}. The bidder should have completed similar works with a value of at least 40% of the estimated cost. The bidder's average annual turnover should be at least 40% of the estimated cost. The value of A is the maximum turnover in construction works, and the number of years prescribed for completion of work (N) is used to calculate the bidding capacity. The value of B, which is the value of existing commitments and ongoing works, should be deducted from the total bidding capacity. The bidder is required to have completed similar nature of works during the last seven years prior to the last date of submission of bid. The experience certificate should be submitted along with the bid document. The bidder should invest a minimum cash of up to 25% of the value of the work during the implementation of the contract. The information regarding similar works completed is to be provided in Annexure-7, which includes details such as project name, name of the employer, contract number, completion cost of the project, date of issue of work order, actual date of completion, and remarks. The bidding capacity of the bidder should be equal to or more than the estimated cost of the work put to tender, which is calculated using a formula that takes into account the maximum turnover in construction works executed in any one year during the last five years and the number of years prescribed for completion of the work. The formula for calculating the bidding capacity is: Bidding Capacity (Rs.) = {[AxNx2]-B}, where A is the maximum turnover, N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the work, and B is the value of existing commitments and ongoing works to be completed during the period of completion of the work.
