The required prior work experience for the bidder includes a total value of work performed in the last five years. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed similar works in the last 7 years, with specific requirements such as: - Three similar completed works each costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost, - Two similar completed works each costing not less than 60% of the estimated cost, - One similar completed work each costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost. The cost of work shall mean the gross value of the completed work. The bidder should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Civil Engineering construction. The value of similar works completed should be at least a certain amount, with a percentage increase of 10% indexed to the current price level. The bidder should provide information on the prior work experience, including the value and percentage of similar works completed, with a certificate from the Engineer-in-Charge and a Chartered Accountant. The bidder is required to invest a minimum of 25% of the value of the work during implementation of the contract. The bidder should have average annual turnover worth minimum 40% of the estimated cost during the last five consecutive years. The bidder should demonstrate that they have access to, or have available, liquid assets and/or credit facilities of not less than 10% of the value of the contract/contracts applied for.
