Sale Of Used Assets & It Is The Intention Of Unsmil To Establish A Contract For The Sale Of Its Scrap Metals, Used Lead Acid Batteries, Electronic Scraps And Used Oils On An “as-is” And “where-is” Basis Without Any Recourse, For The Purpose Of A Safe Recycling Or Disposal By The Purchaser. Unsmil Aims To Establish An Initial Contract For A One-year Period With The Successful Purchaser And At Its Sole Discretion To Extend The Contract For An Additional Two One-year Periods Subject To Satisfactory Performance Of The Contract By The Purchaser. • Sale Of Scrap Metals. • Sale Of Used Oil. • Sale Of Lead Acid Batteries. • Sale Of Electronic Waste. Note: This Advertisement Does Not Constitute Any Commitment Of Unsmil, And The Mission Reserves The Right To Change Or Cancel Any Or All Of Its Requirements In The Process. Buyers Must Be Fully Aware That They Are Obliged To Pay All Relevant Taxes And Duties For The Purchase Of The Assets From Unsmil, Where Applicable, In Accordance With The Existing National Laws And Regulations. The United Nations Support Mission In Libya (unsmil) Will Shortly Publish A Competitive Solicitation Exercise For The Sale (not Purchase) Of The Used Assets Above. Specification Requirements /information: 1.1 The Contractor Shall Manage The Initial Collection, Removal, And Disposal Of All Used Assets Generated By Unsmil From Its Property Disposal Yard In Oea Village. 1.2 Depending On The Performance Of The Initial Collection, Removal, And Disposal Of The Used Assets, A Further Contract Will Be Established To Continue With The Services As Described Below. 1.3 The Collected Used Assets Shall Be Safely Removed By The Contractor From The Above-mentioned Areas And Recycled At Approved Sites Or Facilities In Accordance With International Hygiene Standards And Safety Measures And Following The Procedures Required By Local And Internationally Accepted Rules And Regulations. 1.4 Any Collected Used Assets Which Cannot Be Recycled Shall Be Disposed Of By The Contractor At No Additional Cost To Unsmil. 1.5 All Liabilities For The Services Performed Under This Contract Rest With The Contractor. Unsmil Is Not Liable For Any Services Performed By The Contractor, Or Its Subcontractors Or Individual Employees, Which Have Not Been Requested Or Do Not Conform To Specifications.
