Request for proposal: Long Term Agreement (LTA) for the provision of medical services on a part-time basis. OBJECTIVE AND ACTIVITIES ICTP requires the services of an additional medical doctor, duly authorized by the Italian Health System, on the ICTP premises 3 days per week for 3 hours and 45 minutes per day to provide general medical services and advise the administration on all related matters for ICTP staff and visitors as follows: MEDICAL SERVICES • provide consultations and/or prescriptions and medical certificates and emergency medical care during office hours at ICTP premises; • conduct entry and periodic examinations for staff in line with UNESCO policies, practices and requirements; • provide counselling to staff members and visitors. Advise on personal risk factors, hygiene, preventive health measures and lifestyle modifications; • coordinate routine and mission-related immunisation by liaising with the Vaccination Centre in Trieste and with the Centre for Tropical Diseases at the Sacro Cuore – Don G. Calabria Hospital of Negrar (Verona); • provide traveling staff with all necessary medical information and advice related to travel destination; • establish relations with local health and hospital services; • advise staff and facilitate their orientation concerning specialized consultations or admissions; • prepare and maintain list of specialists, laboratories, blood banks, ambulance services, pharmacies and health care facilities. CONSULTATION WITH MANAGEMENT AND STAFF • availability for consultation and meetings with ICTP Management and staff in relation to health issues and possible emergencies (i.e. COVID-19); • to support and communicate with the medical service of UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, when requested; UNITED NATIONS EDUCATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATION (UNESCO),
