The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having a minimum financial turnover of at least the estimated cost of works, completion of at least one similar work equal in value to one-third (approximately 33.33%) of the estimated cost of work, and availability of bid capacity equal to or more than the total bid value. Additionally, the bidder should have experience and resources sufficient to meet the aggregate of the qualifying criteria for individual contracts. The bidder is also required to have prior work experience of having successfully completed works during the last 7 years, with specific conditions such as: - Three similar completed works costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost put to tender. - Two similar completed works costing not less than 60% of the estimated cost put to tender. - One similar completed work of aggregate cost not less than 80% of the estimated project cost put to tender. For certain types of work, such as BM/BC work, the bidder needs to have experience and own or have an agreement for certain equipment. The cost of BM/BC work is also a factor, with different requirements for work above Rs. 1.0 crore and work one crore or below Rs. 1.0 crore. The bidder should provide details of works in progress or contractually committed, along with certificates from the concerned officer, and the total monetary value of civil construction works performed for each of the last five years. The bidder can propose subcontracting the components of the works for construction/up-gradation aggregating not more than 25% of the contract price. The percentages of similar works completed mentioned are 40%, 60%, 80%, and 33.33%, along with a subcontracting limit of 25% of the contract price.
