The construction project “new building at the Geomatikum” of the University of Hamburg is located on the property at Bundesstrasse 57 south of the traffic junction “beim Schlump – Bundesstrasse”. The building extends parallel to the street “bei Schlump”. The new building consists of a compact 7-story polygonal institutional body with partially two basement floors and is composed of three buildings: east, middle and west. The building to the east at the street intersection serves as the main entrance building with a building-high atrium to the main access and mainly contains administration, office space, as well as a cafeteria and lecture rooms.
