Food And Drug Administration (fda), National Center For Toxicological Research (nctr) Has A Requirement For An Inverted Fluorescent Digital Microscope System, Plus Four (4) Option Years Of Post-warranty Preventive Maintenance And Repair Services. The Microscope Will Allow For The Examination And Analysis Of Cell Cultures To Monitor Cell Growth, Proliferation, And Viability. Also, As Researchers Are Currently Engaged In A Study Developing Pancreatic Organoids, The Addition Of Fluorescent Microscopy Will Allow Researchers To Understand Cell Proliferation, Protein Expression, Cytotoxicity And Other Expressions At A Higher Level. inverted Fluorescent Digital Microscope Minimum Technical Requirements: the System Shall Be A Compact Unit With Microscope, Digital Camera, Computer, Modular High-power Fluorescence Lighting System And Lcd Display Integrated Into One. the System Shall Have A Low Signal-to-noise Ratio. the System Shall Enable Images To Be Saved In 16-bit Monochrome Tiff Or Png, Or 8-bit Color Tiff, Png, Jpg And Bmp Formats. they System Shall Allow For Images To Be Saved, Retrieved And Analyzed On The Hard-drive, Or A Usb Device. the System Shall Have A High-quality Camera And Optics To Acquire High-resolution Images. image Processing And Analysis Software Shallbe Easy To Use And Produce Ready-to-publish High Resolution Images. the Fluorescence Led Light Cube Shall Be Interchangeable And Easily Installed, Removed And Exchanged. the System Shall Simultaneously Be Able To Accommodate At Least 2 Fluorescence Led Light Cubes. the Led Illuminators Shall Have Independent Intensity Controls. the System Shall Accommodate The Capture Of Images In Epifluorescence, Transmitted Light (brightfield And Phase Contrast) And Color. the System Shall Include Tools To Edit Image Brightness, Contrast And Gamma Independently For Each Channel. the System Shall Include Manual Cell Counting Capability, As Well As Automate Cell Counting Capability. the System Shall Include A Confluence Calculation Feature. the System Shall Include Automated Transfection Efficiency Calculation Capability. the System Shall Be Able To Accommodate A Minimum Of 3 Objectives At Once, 10x, 20x And 40x Phase Contrast Objectives. the System Shall Be Provided With 10x And 20x Objectives. the System Shall Include Filter Cube Set For Green Fluorescent Protein (gfp) And 4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (dapi), With Upgradable To Addition Of Cyanine 3 (cy3). the System Shall Include A Mechanical Focus Wheel Mechanism, As Well As An Automated Focus Mechanism. installation, Training, Warranty And Additional System Requirements: system Shall Be Warranted For Not Less Than One (1) Year From Fda Acceptance, To Include On-site Training. Warranty Service Shall Include Troubleshooting Capabilities Based On Complete Knowledge Of The Entire System, Immediate Access To Replacement Parts, And Immediate Access To System Improvements And Updates. Phone And Email Technical Support Shall Be Included For A Minimum Of One (1) Year. the Components And Equipment Shall Be A Newly Manufactured, Not Used Or Refurbished, Or Previously Used For Demonstration. the System Shall Be Delivered With All Necessary Supplies And Accessories Required For Installation And Start-up. the System And Associated Accessories Shall Include Operations And Maintenance Manuals Covering Proper Operation, Routine Maintenance, And Troubleshooting For The System And Controlling Software. All Manuals And Documentation Shall Be Provided In Hard Copy And/or Electronic Format. the Contractor Shall Provide Guidance On Pre-installation Site Requirements. the Contractor Shall Provide Installation And Setup. contractor Shall Provide Onsite Training For The System. post-warranty Preventive Maintenance And Repair Services Minimum Performance Requirements: the Contractor Shall Provide One (1) Scheduled On-site Planned Preventive Maintenance Visit (including Parts) Per Year. the Contractor Shall Provide Unlimited On-site Corrective Maintenance/repairs Within 2 Business Days Of Call For Service Where Problems Cannot Be Resolved Remotely After 2 Business Days. the Maintenance And Repair Activities Shall Be Performed By The Service Engineers Who Are Trained And Certified By The Original Equipment Manufacturer (oem). The Service Provider Should Follow The Oem Specifications, Manuals, And Service Bulletins, Using Oem-certified Replacement Parts, Components, Subassemblies, Etc. the Service Plan Shall Include Access To Oem Technical Developments, Repair Procedure Bulletins, And Unlimited Software, Firmware, And Application Updates. the Contractor Shall Provide Factory-certified Replacement Parts. the Contractor Shall Include Unlimited Technical Support (via Phone And Email) On Software And Hardware And Troubleshooting With Any Equipment Issues, Monday Through Friday (excluding Federal Holidays) 8:00am – 5:00pm Central Time. all Maintenance/repair Pricing Shall Be Inclusive Of Labor, Travel, Replacement Parts, Components, Subassemblies, Etc. For The System. deliverables: Service Records And Reports: The Contractor Shall, Commensurate With The Completion Of Each Service Call (inclusive Of Warranty Service), Provide The End-user Of The Equipment With A Copy Of A Field Service Report/ticket Identifying The Equipment Name, Manufacturer, Model Number, And Serial Number Of The Equipment Being Serviced/repaired And Detailing The Reason For The Service Call, A Detailed Description Of The Work Performed, The Test Instruments Or Other Equipment Used To Affect The Repair Or Otherwise Perform The Service, The Name(s) And Contact Information Of The Technician Who Performed The Repair/service, And For Information Purposes, The On-site Hours Expended, And Parts/components Replaced.
