Soil contamination with Pfas was detected in the area of a fire training house and in the area of the fire station. Additional tests are to be carried out to check whether the pollutants have already reached the groundwater approx. 15 to 20 meters below the ground. The area on which the construction site is located is fenced in and partially sealed off by buildings and driveways. Other uses will take place on the site while the work is taking place. As part of the current investigation phase, the installation of two groundwater measuring points on the barracks site is planned (single measuring points). 4-hour short pumping tests are to be carried out at the groundwater measuring points to be set up. The site of the Major Karl Plagge barracks is a military security area. Personnel and vehicles must be registered to enter the site.
