The Project Also Includes Removal Of Remaining Portions Of Damaged And Displaced Boardwalk From Sensitive Environmental Areas Including Wilderness, Reconstructing The Trailhead Parking Lot, And Reconstructing A 400-foot Section Of Roadway With Special Rock Embankment. The Boardwalk Alignment Will Be Placed In A Modified Alignment To Follow The New Post-flashflood Stream Course (august 2022 And Tropical Storm Hillary August 2023 Events). all Of The Work Is Occurring In Cultural And Natural Resource Sensitive Areas And There Are Numerous Environmental Constraints Including Paleontological Monitoring, Limitations On Large Equipment In The Boardwalk Area, And Matting That Will Affect The Construction Schedule And Type Of Operations.
