The bidder must have successfully completed or substantially completed certain categories of work(s) during the last 7 years. The required prior work experience includes: 1. Three similar works costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, 2. Two similar works costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, 3. One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. Substantially completed work means an ongoing work in which payment equal to or more than 90% of the present contract value has been made to the contractor. Examples of specific works and their values are: earthwork in excavation by mechanical means, with a quantity of 50 cum, a rate of 205.45, and an amount of 10272.5. The percentage of similar works completed is 90% for substantially completed work.
