Background: Super Typhoon Odette Was The Strongest Typhoon To Hit The Philippines Last Year. The Category 5 Typhoon Had A Massive Impact On The Tourism Industry And On The People's Lives And Livelihoods Barely Recovering From The Covid-19 Pandemic. To Assist Tourism Stakeholders Affected By The Typhoon Odette, The Department Of Tourism Region Vi Will Implement Human Capacity Building Trainings And Provide Restart-up Kits To Facilitate Continued Effort For Recovery Of Tourism Stakeholders In Negros Occidental. There Are Two Trainings Scheduled For This Purpose To Include The Following: 1. Fun Farms Tour Guiding And Filipino Brand Of Service Training In Murcia, Negros Occidental (november 24-26, 2022)- Designed To Provide Training To Support And Enhance The Manpower And Service Standard Needs Of Farm Tourism Sites/ Farm Enterprises And Communities. This Training Also Aims To Promote Service Excellence And Likewise Equip Participants With A Unique And Excellent Way Of Delivering Customer Service Founded On Filipino Values. 2. Community-based Tourism Kulinarya Workshop In Bago, Negros Occidental (november 28-29, 2022)- Aims To Train Community Members To Professionally Prepare And Handle Food Service For Visitors; Contribute To Capability-building Initiatives And Spread The Benefits Of Tourism To The Grassroots Level And Showcase Filipino Cuisine And Local Dishes. Vi. Purpose/objectives:  To Continuously Provide Capacity Building Trainings And Restart-up Kits To Stakeholders In Its Bid To Recover From The Damages Brought By Super Typhoon Odette  To Ensure That Tourism Stakeholders And Frontliners In Western Visayas Are More Equipped And Skilled In Providing Quality Services With Emphasis On Health And Safety Of Tourists/guests, Stakeholders And The Community.
